Bhojraj Gautam comes from Kabhre, a village just a few hours east of Kathmandu, in Nepal.
Bhojraj has been working on Kusunda since November 2011; before that he wrote a Master's thesis (at Tribhuvan university) about the phonetics and phonology of Balami, a previously undescribed Newaric language of central Nepal (submitted: 2011). He has also published 'Acoustic analysis of Balami nasal consonants' and 'Phonation in Balami' in the journal Nepalese Linguistics.
Bhojraj is also working on the Kutang project.
While particularly interested in phonetics and phonology, Bhojraj has wider interests in linguistics more generally and evolutionary anthropology.
